March 21st - Visit to Liverpool
A visit to selected tile locations in Liverpool which hopefully will include the Walker Art Gallery, the Town Hall, the Municipal Buildings, the Pearl Life Assurance Building, the Lion Tavern and the Cavern Wall of Fame & Lewis’ Department store View Photos

April 25th-26th - Weekend in Lisbon
A weekend sampling the many tile delights in Lisbon such as the National Tile Museum, the Gulbenkian Musuem, the Pinheiro Museum, tiled churches and monasteries, tiled railway stations and underground stations, the Viuva Lamego tile factory, antique shops etc. TACS members will be responsible for their own flights and hotel accommodation but Pat and Hans will recommend a convenient tried and tested city centre hotel where they will be staying. May 16th - Visit to Greenwich
A Coade stone tour of the former Royal Naval Hospital looking at the magnificent Coade pediment in the King William Court, and the many Coade stone statues and decorations in the Chapel of St. Peter and Paul. There will also be information about recently discovered Coade plaster moulds for the decorations in the Chapel plus Coade records and letters for the various commissions at Greenwich. We will also see the South Building at the Royal Observatory with Doulton terracotta by W. Neatby and the relocated Greenwich mural by Philippa Threlfall. View Photos

June 13th Medieval Tile Workshop with Diana Hall
The tile maker Diana Hall has agreed to run a demonstration workshop for up to 15 people looking at the materials and the various processes involved in medieval tile making. A simple lunch will be served on the day.

July 4th TACS AGM London
The AGM will be held at Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, Holborn, London WC1. Further details about the AGM will be sent to members nearer the time. www.conwayhall.org.uk

September 26th Antique Tile Fair in Nottingham (Open to non-TACS Members)
BRING BUY SELL OR SWAP
The fair will be held at St. Jude's Church Hall, Mapperley, Nottingham NG3 5HE. This is one mile north from the city centre on the B684 Woodborough Road off the A60 or from the A60 Sherwood up Mapperly Hall Drive past mini roundabout to T Junction - turn left to St. Jude's 50 yards on left.

Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available on the day.

For stallholders the entrance fee will be £40 per table. It would help the organisers to know as soon as possible the approximate number of stalls to expect, so if you are thinking of taking a table please call Mike Blood on 0115 9608502.

TACS events are generally open to TACS members only and can only be applied for using the appropriate TACS events booking form which is sent to members every autumn.

A booking form for the TACS 2009 events was sent to members in January with the Glazed Expressions Autumn 2008 mailing.

Participation in events is at your own risk, and TACS accepts no liability of any kind whatsoever, howsoever arising. TACS reserves the right to cancel, alter or postpone events.
